Abstract: I will describe how ample groupoid homology is functorial with respect to a broad class of groupoid morphisms known as proper étale correspondences. These encompass for example étale homomorphisms and Morita equivalences, and include an interesting example coming from a left cancellative monoid. I will present an application to K-theory building on work of Makoto and Valerio.
