Roberto Conti: Isometries of spectral triples

Abstract: We examine some natural way to generalise the group of
isometries of a compact Riemannian manifold to the realm of spectral
triples. Although it has been known for quite some time that symmetries of
a noncommutative space could be described by quantum groups, we stick to
the case of ordinary groups (that should be thought of as some sort of
maximal classical subgroup of the corresponding quantum object). Results
will be presented for certain spectral triples, notably on Cuntz algebras
and on AF algebras.
