Abstract: In this lecture, I will explain my understanding of A. Connes and C. Consani's approach to the Riemann zeta function through the arithmetic site and refinements of it such as the scaling site and the complex lift of the scaling site. In particular, we will explain the relation A. Connes and C. Consani found between the complex lift of the scaling site and the GL(2)-Bost-Connes system.
