What is..? Spring '24 Session 2

The 'What is..?'-seminar is created by, and intended for, the young researchers at the department of Mathematics (in particular, PhD and postdoc).

Speakers:
- Ulrik Enstad (section 6),
    What is an approximative lattice?

- Kris Shaw (section 5),
What are the face numbers of polytopes?

What is.. this?

The inspiration comes from the 'What is..?'-column of the AMS; talks should be short expository talks to a general mathematical audience explaining anything from a foundational idea of your field of mathematics to a nifty construction or an interesting problem.

Each session consists of two 15 minute talks with a break in between providing an ample opportunity to socialize. Coffee/Tea, small cakes and fruit will be served.

Do you want to give a talk?

Don't hesitate to contact one of the organizers! We welcome and hope to see contributions from all sections in the department.
