Objectives

The vision and main goal of the CMA for the years 2013-18 is to use the unique expertise of established groups at CMA to apply for major research grants and programs, both in Norway and Europe. In addition, our goal is to continue, and further improve, the basic research in our main mathematical areas stochastic analysis, partial differential equations and geometry. Furthermore, our ambition is to make substantial contributions to the modernization of mathematics and its applications at UiO, both in research and education. We also plan some new initiatives in areas that are of strategic importance, not only for the CMA, but for MI and UiO in general. These initiatives and the overall research plan are presented below.
