This talk gives a brief introduction to
the construction, properties, and applications
of generalized barycentric coordinates on polygons and polyhedra.
Applications include: surface mesh parameterization in
geometric modelling;
image, curve, and surface deformation in computer graphics;
and polygonal and polyhedral finite element methods.
