Who we are, part III

I am an operator algebraist with broad interests and a tendency to feel uneasy when I find myself in a comfort zone. I have  worked on several projects with focus on quantum statistical dynamical systems and their equilibrium states, in particular ground states. Now I am interested in taking a step aside to look at what ground states mean in other contexts where second quantization is at the core of the problem. In this project, my academic involvement is in bridging  Coupled-Cluster theory from quantum chemistry with Operator Algebras in mathematics. I am part of a group that also includes Simen Kvaal and Håkon R. Fredheim at the Hyleraas Centre and Snorre Bergan and Sergiy Neshveyev at the Mathematics Department. I recently taught the introductory course on Quantum Computing (bachelor level course in our department) and learned how to do it much more efficient next time.

I am also the project coordinator of QOMBINE.
