This loading is done by loading the "latex" environment from the matinst environment module, and the matinst module is loaded by default for all users. There is currently no way to purge (unload) this module, but you can superseed it by loading a different texlive manually, like so:
module load texlive/2014
texlive/2014 will then be prepended to your module list and the software from this module will then be invoked before anything from texlive/2013-uio which is loaded from the latex environment.
