Marthe Grønlie Guren: Numerical modelling with applications to fluid-rock interactions and nanoscale friction

As part of her PhD, Marthe Grønlie Guren will do a presentation on a review of molecular dynamics simulations.

A portrait of a woman with blond hair, who is smiling.

The presentation will be a review of recent work within nanoscale friction and dynamics of fluid-rock interactions. The aim is to look at different methods and approaches that can be used within molecular dynamics, with focus on LAMMPS, and how simulations can be used to complement laboratory Experiments.

The external reviewer will be Prof. Einat Aharonov of the Fredy & Nadine Herrmann Institute of Earth Sciences.
