Erina writes the following about herself:
I have a bachelor and master's degree in geophysics. During my learning journey as a student, I have been developing an interest to learn more about rock physics. The first time I was introduced to this topic was when I did my master's degree at Uppsala University. I wrote my master's thesis about Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) analysis to predict the physical properties of shocked quartz from the Chicxulub impact crater in Mexico.
Now in the Njord Centre, I got a very interesting opportunity to expand my knowledge in rock physics to study the brittle-ductile transition in crustal rocks by using the microtomography imaging technique.
