Prof. Torsvik honoured with the Wollaston Medal, and featured in the Magazine of the Geological Society

At a ceremony at the Geological Society of London, Burlington House, Prof. Trond Helge Torsvik received the Wollaston Medal 2024, June 12th 2024 in London.

As prize winner of the Wollaston Medal 2024, Trond Helge Torsvik is in good company! Previous prize winners include Charles Darwin and University of Oslo's first rector, Waldemar Christopher Brøgger.

The Wollaston Medal is a scientific award for geology, and is the highest award granted by the Geological Society of London.

In connection with the formal presentation and celebration of the Awards and Funds at the Geological Society in june, an interview with Torsvik was published in the society's magazine GEOSCIENTIST's summer issue.

The Geological Society of London
