Bacterial genes in the faeces can reveal early colorectal cancer

Scientists are now analysing all the genes in the intestinal content of thousands of people. The aim is to reveal the early phase of colorectal cancer by looking at the microbiota in the bowel.

An article in the research magazine Apollon features the work on colorectal cancer and microbiomes by SBI scientists Trine B. Rounge, Einar Birkeland and coworkers in the CRCbiome group. The article is also published on the science news site Titan.
