Academic interests
My research focuses on understanding the fundamentals of electrode processes in proton ceramic electrolysis cells using model electrode studies combined with Finite Element Modelling. My interests include Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), microfabrication using photolithography and pulsed laser deposition or e-beam evaporation as well as various material characterisation methods.
Courses taught
- Laboratory supervisor in KJM1121 - Inorganic Chemistry
- Laboratory supervisor in MENA1001 - Materials, Energy and Nanotechnology
Background
I obtained both my B.Sc. and my M.Sc. in Nanoscience at the University of Hamburg. In my Master thesis, I performed an operando study on photoelctrochemically active materials for oxygen evolution using Pair-Distribution-Function (PDF) analysis. During my studies, I spend an exchange semester at NTNU in Trondheim and UiT in Tromsø respectively.
