Researcher school

The researcher school at SMN is intended to further strengthen both academic and industrial activities in photovoltaic (PV) technology and education. Recruitment of students is also a crucial element. The school is established in connection with the Norwegian Research Centre for Solar Cell Technology (Solar United) project.

The main aim of the researcher school is to train PhD students, as well as other PV experts, at a high international level in different areas of PV technology, thereby providing qualified candidates to the industry, research institutes and universities. The school will also serve as an important arena for collaboration and exchange of knowledge among the partners of the Solar United project.

Four new courses have been or are being developed. The researcher school draws upon the expertise of the research partners of the Centre. The courses address the following key topics:

The courses are intensive courses with highly condensed teaching. They are open for PhD students, priority will be given to PhD-students affiliated with Solar United. Master students may apply to take the courses as special curriculum.
