Plants have been used for 1000s of years in the treatment of human diseases, though this historical knowledge is often lost. Our interdisciplinary research group uses Nordic historic texts and archaeological remains as inspiration to ‘rediscover’ what plants have historically been used to treat disease.
Planter har i tusener av år blitt benyttet for å behandle humane sykdommer i nordiske land, men kunnskapen om hvilke planter som ble brukt er imidlertid i fare for å gå tapt. Vår interdisiplinære forskningsgruppe ønsker å gjenoppdage denne kunnskapen ved bruk av nordiske tekster og arkeologiske undersøkelser.
