Election of representatives for technical/administrative and temporary academic staff for the Faculty Board

The faculty has received four nominations by the nomination deadline of 27 February. You can see a presentation of the candidates below.

Elections will now be held for the faculty board respectively of a representative and deputy representative for temporary academic staff for the period 8 March 2023 – 31 December 2023, and of two deputy representatives for technical/administrative staff for the period 8 March 2023 – 31 December 2024.

The election is open in the period 1 March at 12:00 until 8 March at 12:00. Employees with voting rights can cast their vote here:

The election result will be announced on the faculty's website 8 March at 15:00

The Faculty Board includes nine members:

  • Dean and Vice Dean: 2
  • Permanent academic staff: 1
  • Temporary academic staff: 1
  • Technical/administrative staff: 1
  • Students: 2
  • External: 2

There is a requirement for gender balance with representatives and deputy representatives for each of the employee groups.

Who can nominate and vote at the election?

Any person, who has the right to vote, can promote a candidate proposal for the Faculty Board Election within their own group. Professor II and employees who hold at least half-time positions at the Faculty have the right to vote.

Execution of the election

The election of Faculty Board members will be held as an electronic election in accordance with the Election Regulations for the University of Oslo. The election of employee members will be executed as an election of preference.
